Design experiments: Bibs

I'm working on a bib design and welcome your input. Three different ideas:

Rustic
Raw_vert
Raw_button_close_horizRaw_p_close_horiz

Natural linen with flannel inside. Edges are left raw and finished with rows of orange stitching. I also tried free motion quilting a monogram (not fully satisfied with that) and used a covered button snap kit I found at the thrift store for the closure. I like bibs that snap.  According to my washing trials, the edges of this will fray and curl but the bib will remain intact.

Quilted

This one is a little quilt with strips of all the orange fabrics I had out for another project. It's reversible with an old fashioned fabric I love and found on clearance at JoAnns. It's sewn and turned inside out and top stitched to finish the edges. The closure is velcro, more adjustable but less sturdy against a toddler bent on bib removal.

With a food catcher

Used a bit of the Alexander Henry foodish fabric I bought and was afraid to cut. Added a lip or small pocket at the bottom to catch food and finished the edges with bias tape. The closure is velcro.

So, what's your favorite?  Why?

Gotta love the bibs that catch crumbs! I like the functionality of that one, but I like the fabric of the patchwork bib best.

I'm a fan of the rustic bib. I like the organic feel of it. I also really like the initial on it - love the "doodling."
I made a tablecloth out of my yard of the same A.H. fabric. That pattern is so much fun!!!

I've been toying with the idea of doing some bibs for a friend who's pregnant at the moment and I love love love the orange bib. The vibrant big blocks of color really appeal to me and a top stitched edge is my go-to edging so I like that as well.

I like them all. I think they are all really fun and cute. I definitely like the pocket to catch crumbs. The quilted one looks a little smaller. I like them to be nice and big. But I like the idea and fabrics of all of them.

are these eating bibs or drooling bibs... if "eating" bibs, i like the crumb catcher/spoon catcher/and unfortunately, vomit catcher. also, love the fabric.

if drool, i like the color and quiltiness of the orange bib, but the look and the snap closure of the rustic bib.

sorry, no clear winner for me on this one.

I vote for Quilted without the pocket. Pre-paid WB might go for the free.

I like them all but for usefulness (based on my OWN eating habits) :), I pick #3. Looks more "kiddie," the print is fun, the shape is the widest and spills won't be as apparent on a busy pattern (though the orange one probably wins for spill coverage). I would like to see #1 as a dress with the monogram on the chest or in the center (or on a pocket).

All of them are very nice, I do like the one with the pocket best. That fabric is adorable!
