I'm thinking of a road trip with a two and a half year old.

Not crazy at all!! We just got back from a two week road trip with our four kids and had the most wonderful time. Enjoy it if you decide to head out. 80)

Um, yeah- I think you'd be a little nuts to try that trip. But if you do, I bet you'd have blog friends from all over willing to meet you at parks along the way (to give Biscuit a chance to rest, of course!)

I say go for it... just take your time (if you have it). And, if you time it right, you can caravan part of the way with us! :) We did a 10 day road trip last summer with a 2 1/2 year old and 1/2 year old. ;) it was great.

If I could, I would. Would it just be yo two gals?

If you do go to Iowa and if you'd like to visit a farm, you could always visit Brent's parents' place. It's about an hour and 15 minutes from Ames. When I was there in May we had some kids out (our neices and some friends' kids ages 2 to 4) and they had so much fun seeing the animals and riding the tractor and four wheeler. Let me know if you'd be interested and I'll help set it up.

Well, we're off on a trip that involves 6 days of driving for 3 days of holiday, with 2 under-5-year-olds. It wasn't my idea will be my defense.

The closer we get to the departure date, the more frequently I 'joke' with my husband that he should fake food poisoning, so we can stay home...

I think it's do-able with a little pre-planning and lots of patience. Hey, stop in and visit, I'm in between point E and F!

We drove from Indiana to Arizona with my son who had just turned 1. It was great. He slept a lot and was a real trouper. We've done several road trips since and it has always been fun. If you can stop when the kid has clearly had enough and not cram your days too full, it's great. My son has been to more states at age 3 than I had by the time I was 10.
