Photos (proof that I am the worst housekeeper you know)
Both nothing and everything going on and I'm feeling simultaneously overwhelmed and uninspired (isn't it annoying how those two go hand in hand?). How 'bout some photos? A few from my iPhoto album.
Salt crystals (aka what happens in a pan of pickling solution when you leave it on the stove for a week while you're on vacation). They were so beautiful I hated to wash the pan.
Self portrait (and, it's official, my child does not have a single shirt without spots on it)
Disturbing (now this may scare you away from the blog forever because this is really odd...but we have had a slug infestation. Indoors. That phone is there for scale. The slugs are disturbingly large and only come out one at a time and only at midnight. Is this the most bizarre, disgusting thing you've ever heard of? WHERE ARE THEY COMING FROM??)
Score! (got this fab casserole dish for $3 at the thrift store. And the apricots were free from my neighbor)
Now that you know what a horrible housekeeper I am (slugs! unwashed pans! unclean shirts!) and hate me for my good luck (thrifting find! free apricots! adorable child!) I'll leave you to your Wednesday.

He he he, love your photos!
You can always cover the t-shirt stains with a lovely fabric patch...problem fixed. I don't know how to fix the slug problem....love the vintage dish!

The crystals are cool! Slugs, not so cool. Yah, don't know what I would do about that. Maybe put your salt crystals around the corners of your house! :)

I stepped on a slug bigger than that a few nights ago. I had taken our dog out for her "walk" and squish! Oh my god it was gross!!! We have tons of them but all outside thankfully. Maybe you have a crack somewhere and they just kinda find a way in.
LOVE the salt crystals, just beautiful!!!

we had slugs like that one summer too. it was weird and Aaron put slug and snail killer around the perimeter of the house and they were no more!
I think it is an old house things more than a dirty house thing, though lord knows that my house is dirty enough!

I feel so much better to see that I am not the only one that has left a dirty pot in favor of leaving for vacation on time. :0) We used to get the slugs like crazy because they loved the dog food, but they were mostly outside. There must be something inside that they're trying to get to. And you're right...the child is adorable!!!!

I have the same casserole! Definite score. As for the slugs, I've heard that if you put out a dish of beer they will fall in and drown. At least they die happy!

Those slugs freak me out! We had an ant problem awhile ago - only a few would appear at a time but they'd appear right in the middle of the kitchen, not near any walls. I looked all around and couldn't find any more, yet a few minutes later there'd be 3 more in the same spot. I am still left wondering how they got in!
