Sugar!

I'm kind of in love with my gingerbread house.

It's admittedly confused about the weather (icicles and a flower garden?) but the Necco roof makes it just perfect to me. (I found Necco's at JoAnns Fabric Store)

I love my m&m's on a lollipop tree.

Oh, and the fence and the chimney smoke. I am very easy to please.

Biscuit is no less excited about her own house

But much more excited about the CANDY!

Making gingerbread houses with a three year old: highly recommended!

Notes to self:

Stash candy from Halloween and use on house
Gingerbread recipe (I added ginger and some other spices. Also used a mix of molasses, corn syrup and honey)
House pattern (I used the one room home)
Royal Icing Recipe (meringue powder from last year was still good)
