So, yeah, I did this back in May and have been meaning to blog about it ever since. Is it just me or does it feel like May was maybe a month ago rather than FOUR months ago?
Inspired by the talented Ali Edwards, I decided to document one week in our life. It happened to be the week of Mother's Day.
I think my family thought I was crazy photographing EVERYTHING for a week but the result is so much fun.
I saved receipts, wrappers, packaging, everything in little envelopes all week and jotted notes about what we did and what we said.
In a stroke of good luck I found the clear photo holder things and the cool 3 ring binder at the thrift store the day I needed them. Then, inspired by Elsie, I used a lot of masking tape and handwriting to put the book together ultra quick (one evening)
Probably the best part of the project was giving Biscuit a disposable camera to take to school and then going to Costco after school to get her film developed. Non digital photography was all new to her but she did an amazing job!
We've all enjoyed looking at this album and I can imagine a little row of them, one per year, being the perfect way to reflect on our family life. Because I'm NEVER going to catch up on the traditional scrapbooking.
Someone remind me of this next May. Okay?
