Yep, thought so! Thanks in advance--I'm probably going to make this way too complicated and then ignore your advice. Nice, right?
The contenders:
#1--Six year olds--always with the super awkward smile which disqualified about 60 out of 80 photos.
#3 Creepy tongue thing but the smile is semi-genuine. Oscar is scared....
#4 Mr. H realizes we should move to the tire swing. Too bad about that chain, Oscar.
#5 They look like they like each other
So, I guess only 5 contenders. I tossed out 5 or 10 more in making this post so that was useful right there. Which one gets your vote?
And now a reminder how much we should have appreciated it when we only had to photograph one kid at a time. And a kid that doesn't know the meaning of fake smiling.
Tipped over and still happy
And finally, FINALLY some very cool shots shamelessly copied from Pinterest. I needed more lights but of course half the strand went out right when I had everything set up so there you go.What do you think, black and white or "antique"?
A few minutes after this picture that other bottom tooth came out. Ah, snaggle teeth. Gotta love 'em.

#2 is my favorite -- they both look so happy. I like the different perspective in the tire swing, but #2 is the winner in my book. So dig the Christmas light pics by the way. :-) Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

thanks, becca. 5 was our choice too but I like seeing Biscuits face in 2. Hmm, torn :)

youre helping me see the merits of 2....

5 is probably the most endearing. Made me say ahhhhh... 1 and 2 are fine. Too bad the chain is in the way for #4. Looked like a fun shoot though. :)

Yes, I WOULD like to help! My mom and I often mention how we want each other's input which we will then seem to ignore, but it's all part of the decision-making process: sometimes hearing someone else's thoughts make us realize how much we disagree!
My favorite is #5. Second choice is #1. Third choice is #2.
I like the antiqued.

I would vote for #2 with some cropping. Followed by #5 again with some cropping.
Dad :)

Mom votes for #1 close up. Or five cropped. dad :)

I like #2 the best. #5 is super cute as well... maybe one of those collaged prints with more than one pic? For our card this year, I used the best of two and then an individual pic of each kid.
I like the antique look with lights. :)

Thanks, Laura. the antique one with the lights is definitely winning and #2 is doing better than I thought :) I appreciate the comment (and, as an aside, whenever I see a comment pop up from you I think its from my sister who is also a Laura. Im easily confused :)

I LOVE #5! And the light pictures are wonderful...I'm gonna have to try that!

5 is super sweet, but for a holiday card you should see the kids' faces, so 2 gets my vote. love the photos with the lights (antique)!

Thanks, Krista. After reading the comments Im in 100% agreement with you. 5 is a better photo but 2 is better for the card. Im ordering now!
