Did I mention we got a new car in January? It's a Honda Fit--a cute little commuter car Mr. H drives to work.
We're driving it to Iowa. We live in California.
All four of us. Two and a half weeks on the road. Camping.
Hoping the cute little Honda Fit will fit:
- Two adults
- One six-year-old (in carseat)
- One one-year-old (in rear facing carseat)
- Four people's clothes (including warm clothes and rain gear for camping in Grand Tetons)
- Three sleeping bags plus blankets for baby
- Sleeping pads
- Tent
- Camp stove
- Cooler
- Food for the road
- Activites for the trip (books, games etc)
Actually, that doesn't look too bad....what am I forgetting?
Things that I'd like to take but really, where would they go?
- Port-a-crib
- Stroller (we'll take the ergo carrier)
Both Mr. H and I have a million work deadlines to meet before we leave. And if we fit everything we need we really should be in a Honda commercial don't you think?

Last chance for the skybox. Everything will Fit including the port a crib and stroller.

I think your dad's right. You're going to have to go "up"! Sounds fun!

You'd be amazed what can, um, fit in those Fits. We went camping in mum's (although the journey was shorter) and she was packing all sorts of nutty things in (breakfast table, wind break for the beach, a stand for the stove...). She does a more luxurious version of camping to what I'm used to...
Enjoy your trip! I've only spent a day hiking in the Grand Tetons, but it was a beautiful place.

Even in the people mode the FIT has 20.6 cubic feet of storage plus the "Secret Storage" under the fold up rear "Magic Seat".
I can't wait to see a picture of your packed car. :)
Have a great trip!

I think Honda should start a new contest?
What can you FIT in a Honda FIT?
