Last Friday was Ancestor Dinner at Biscuit's school. It's a second grade tradition. Kids learn about their country(ies) of origin, interview their ancestors, make and present and poster and then celebrate with a giant potluck with food from around the world.
While I took several shots of the food, I got exactly zero shots of Biscuit with her ancestors (aka her parents, my dad and Mr. H's parents all of whom were in attendance). Silly me.
I did catch a shot of Oscar with Biscuit's "artifact" (Grandpa's teddy bear) and Grandpa himself.
Her poster displaying some real Swedish pride (and a lack of spatial planning in poster layout).
The class sang five songs some of which they hadn't practiced since Christmas. And the cd player kept conking out. But they were adorable so it was a pretty typical elementary school performance.
I realize this isn't exactly blogworthy content but I'm so behind on scrapbooking at this point the blog is Biscuit's scrapbook. If I don't blog it I forget it happened.
Ancestor dinner: documented!
