Going through old blog posts I realized I actually made quite a few outfits for Biscuit. Not that she wore them mind you but at least I tried. Poor Oscar has been neglected in the handmade clothing department. No, boys clothes aren't quite as fun to sew, but pants are pants and he needed some. All of the sudden at the start of winter his pants are mostly too short.
Enter 50% off the red tag fabric at Joann's and some nice olive corduroy ($2.50/yard) and the boy got some quick pants. Despite several incidents of seam ripping (why are pants always so confusing to construct?) I still got them done in about an hour. A perfect instant gratification project--he wore them to daycare today.
Technically reversible but the shirting fabric I used as lining is cute in the cuff but not likely cute as pants.
Do you know how hard it is to photograph a toddler who does NOT want to be photographed? Hard. Especially once I let him go "gootering"
With all the motion you can't even tell the waistband is a bit big and I haven't finished the hems ;)
