As I've done in past years, during our roadtrip I kept notes, scraps of paper and other ephemera in a scrapbook. Since arriving home I've added photos I printed--I had left blank pages throughout to allow for adding photos.
A few notes. I had fun cutting out shapes in photos and it let me squeeze in a lot more images. I was really into the flora this trip and enjoyed putting in pressed leaves and flowers. Envelopes are great to have in a scrapbook (but make for a puffy book). I highlighted some funny quotes from the trip (three year olds are good for funny quotes)--I think that's my favorite part of the book. Lots of flaps and overlapping elements.
And that's it. I love coming home and having the memory book 90% done. It was even more gratifying because my parents headed out yesterday on a roadtrip along the same path as our 2012 trip. They were able to look at my 2012 book for things to see (or not see) that I never would have remembered.
Ok, now about a million mediocre shots of the scrapbook interior.
