yeah, the 3 week old got her own stationery. What can I say?
And the three year old got Valentines for his classmates (featuring his handwriting). Big sister preferred to follow her own plan.
I admit, I've been skeptical about taking classes. Perhaps it's my ego? I already know how to do stuff, and if I don't I can get a book/check YouTube/experiment. So why would I need a class? Turns out I was wrong. Classes are so much fun! Even if you already know most of what is being covered you learn some new tricks and, most importantly, you get TIME to focus on a specific project. Which is why I'm really grateful my friend Shelley is hosting a lot of classes at the Nest in Fair Oaks, CA and my friend Lauren taught screen printing. A great way to spend a rainy afternoon!
I was trying to explain to Oscar the meaning of X and O for his Valentine. So I gave him an X (kiss) and then an O (hug) (have I got that right? I never actually remember which is which). Anyway, we are now exchanging X's and O's and I've gotten more kisses today than ever before which is very sweet. But he's trying to extrapolate X=kiss and O=hug to other letters. Which is how when he was doing a U.S.A. puzzle he thoughtfully explained to me that U=pajamas and S=no pajamas and, confusingly, A=pajamas. Kinda like kiss, hug, kiss, right?
The USA puzzle in question.
