Today was one of those days that makes you look forward to going to work on Monday so you can relax!
This coming week is Biscuit's big 4th grade field trip--all week in Yosemite. Mr. H left early this morning to set up leaving me in care of our two offspring. Hats off to single parents. From dawn till dusk we:
Cheered Biscuit on in her 5K, the culmination of her Running Club participation.
Baked cookies and made ice cream which then became ice cream sandwiches (this was 95% her).
Submitted Biscuit's application for Mrs. Obama's Healthy Lunch Challenge (Biscuit has been wanting to do this for years! The first year she was too young and then last year we missed it so no way were we missing it again).
Packed for Yosemite.
Sewed t-shirt knit necklaces then dyed the knit necklaces (my hands are blue from rinsing all that dye). These plus the ice cream sandwiches are for sale at her booth at the Nest Fest next weekend.
Watched Planes: Fire and Rescue (this was all Oscar)
Went for a walk at the river.
Made my favorite dinner.
Hit 50% of our goal on Kickstarter!! Thanks, everyone!
And let me just say. That was TOO MUCH. By the end I snapped at both kids and there was a full on triple meltdown. Let's not dwell on that part--I'd rather remember the kids "fishing" at the river with pieces of weeds tied to sticks.
