I should say at the outset I've had a glass (or two) of wine. It's Friday night and it's been a day!
Despite the fact I technically don't work on Fridays I had to work today. I woke up exactly at the same time I was supposed to be out the door (5:45 am) for a meeting with my boss's boss. I was out the door in 3 minutes and I later realized I was slightly inappropriately dressed. Fortunately traffic was light and we were 30 minutes ahead on our 3.5 hour drive so stopped at Target for coffee, Visine, and leggings to go under my too-short dress.
On the up side, my many hour drive with my boss's boss was in the prettiest part of the California coast and I met a nice cow (steer, bull?) named Freddy. I would insert a photo of Freddy but I'm having technical difficulties. He was a miniature Jersey (or something like that).
On the drive home I got an call from Mr. H that his day was not going super well, too much to do and not enough time. Then because the day wasn't busy enough, while he was on his way back to work with the kids the 'burb had some sort of catastrophic engine failure which led to a tow truck (thanks, USAA, for being awesome) and my in-laws picking up the kids. Fortunately, there wasn't a major accident and the car is hurt but not the family. Unfortunately, the 'burb has a major (read: expensive) owie.
So I was driving/working all day BUT last night Kristy and I launched our Kickstarter for the book! We did it! And, thanks to incredibly generous friends we are already more than a quarter of the way to our funding goal. Over the last week we also created a book-specific website and phew it's been good/busy.
If you're reading this and of a mind to help spread the word about our Kickstarter I would be super grateful. Over at Kickstarter there is a "share" button. I presume it works :)
