I feel like I am living inside the "Mother of All Demos."
This was a thing I had never heard of but I recently listened to the audiobook of The Innovators and there was a whole section about Engelbart and I'm pretty sure the author has a crush on Stewart Brand so anything he was involved with came up a lot. So there were many references to the Mother of All Demos.
But back to me. We're really, really in the final, final edits for the book. Hooray! And most nights my co-author and I hop online, her in San Diego, me in Sacramento, and we go into Google docs and jointly edit documents and text chat. Sometimes we set up a Google hangout where we can see one another (like Skype) or screenshare so I can show her layouts. It really feels like we're in the same room chatting and working.
Technology is amazing.
And I have been reading/listening to a ton of non fiction lately. I'll do a post about it but for now, The Innovators was really good if you're at all interested in technology, history or innovation.
And because blog posts without photos look really weird in Bloglovin a completely unrelated picture of vegetables I bought at the Farmers' Market and then pickled with this recipe.
