The Christmas cards aren't even close to done and I've got a lot of shopping left but let's focus on the positive, shall we?
Biscuit is in charge of the elf so he is moving around quite a lot. She is also super into wrapping gifts.
I convinced Oscar that Skittles are elves favorite candy and couldn't help but laugh when he and Biscuit were arguing over elves' favorite foods. "But mom TOLD me it was Skittles!" So now we have to leave out cookies for Santa, Skittles for elves and carrots for reindeer. He also believes that elves (not Santa) fill the stockings and only with candy. Not sure where all this is coming from but it sounds easy to me.
Both kids wrote (extremely helpful) letters to Santa. It was the first time I've seen Oscar write anything beyond his own name and was so cute. I carefully sourced the proper Pirate Jake Pirate Ship Bath Toy (thanks, Amazon) and then carelessly left the box in my room. He found it and opened it yesterday. Curses! Santa needs a new plan.
I love having a tree in the house and I love all our ornaments. I should really water it more often.
The kids made ornaments and were pretty into it.
Biscuit's Girl Scout troop and other troops in the area are caroling at a local senior center. It was really nice.
Tomorrow a friend is coming over to make candy. Toffee, peppermint bark, truffles and more, here we come!
Ok, back to online shopping/planning.
