Fires are burning all over Northern California. Scary stuff. The very (very) tiny silver lining to all the destruction and terrible air quality is some really interesting skylines and sunsets.
This weekend we were in Tahoe and in the morning you almost couldn't make out the horizon where gray lake met gray skies.
We were up at Lake Tahoe because my dad was doing a bike ride around the lake. Despite the air quality he made great time. It was a fun weekend hanging out with my entire family at the most hipster motel you can imagine. (Basecamp in case you are in need of a super hipster hotel in South Lake with a very fun/expensive beer garden) Don't let the "hotel" in the url throw you off. Totally an upgraded motel :)
Oh, and Mr. H was here too. I seem to have exactly zero photos of him and my brother in law. Sorry, family!
