Remember this project? This is what it became!
Oh ya. That's FABRIC! It's a home dec weight linen-cotton blend ordered through Spoonflower. It wasn't cheap but I LOVE it and it looks like she drew/painted directly onto the fabric. The resolution is superb.
Part of me wants to hoard every inch of the yard but I'm going to try to just use it. We'll see how I do. Pillows? Tote bags? Gifts?
The kid had a great time reminding me of all the elements of each picture she drew. The wood store, the book store, Grammie's house, our house, the model home, the castle with the Christmas tree etc etc. This was totally worth the $27.

In unrelated news, Biscuit took her first ballet/tap dance lesson today. I don't think there could be anything cuter than little girls in leotards listening intently to their teacher and then skipping around the room.
This is going to be fun!
I love the fabric! What a GREAT idea! I might have to try this with my little ones...maybe hand prints and footprints and handwritten names. Thanks for the inspiration!
(Oh, and I completely agree - nothing cuter than little girls at dance class!)

Heather,
hand prints and foot prints would be adorable! Text (handwriting) is the next fabric I want to do. Thanks for the comment.

You are right, the fabric is 100% worth it.
