My kids both spent their first few weeks of kindergarten with calluses on their hands as they were determined to master the monkey bars. My daughter had even got it into her head that it was part of the curriculum, and spent a few weeks prior to kindergarten worrying about it...

Isnt it funny what they get in their heads? Biscuit spent forever trying to learn to whistle (much more difficult than monkey bars I guess)  but I have no idea why she felt it was a such a mission critical skill :)
